I was flipping through the "old" archives and thought they looked a little different, and then I saw that my "Aunt Petunia's Secret" was on the Lumos "Recently added/updated" board!!!
Also the heading art seems to look different for Lumos, and has definitely been changed for Occlumency..
The server for Ashwinder just went down. The admins must be working on the site now!
The call is up for volunteers to help with the move. What could I do? Just cheer, I guess. Send a thank-you card to MetaMuse for all the work she invested in the various creations of the archives. (Got an address for her...)
Being able to "witness" the progress on the move is exciting! and anyway, thought I'd share my excitement here. |

Yay!
My story "How a Few Drinks can change your life" is up at Pureblood!
Woohoo!
And I volunteered for help. At least I have a bit of knowledge about eFiction because I'm an admin at WIKTT Archives (I helped with that move). So maybe they find something I can do.
Edit:
They put my "Valentine for Three" at Lumos. Now that I'm not happy with. It should either be at Pureblood or Ashwinder... it's Lucius/Severus/Hermione. *pouts* |

Great!!! You have experience, so you'll probably be a big help.
Unfortunately, I'm afraid that the only help I can offer is to cheer!
There are a lot of features I'll miss from Mage, which I hope in time, may be restored onto the archives, and there were reviewers who said that they normally wouldn't have found my stories if they hadn't seen them on Mage.
But I understand another job that I can do is make sure I have copies of the reviews I left, and the reviews I received, so that if they don't carry over, that I can restore them at the archives.
So there's Lumos, Occlumency, now Pureblood...looks like it's going to be sooner, not later, that everything will be done.
Just caught your edit: Yeah, I was wondering if Lumos was going to be the catch-all again, or if they were going to allow multiple archive postings.
Two of my stories just went up. They are really going fast there!
And again, the "How A Few Drinks Can Change Your Life" is just plain fun! (So now there's three archives that the admins are working on...) |

I'm a Lumione writer mostly. Although now I'm trying to write Lucius/Hermione/Severus. But if the fics are going to be thrown at Lumos, I would have to make a lot of publicity for people to go and read there. I never liked that archive. But I wonder if they'll allow crossposting and if they do, if I have to go through the queue for validation in each one independently. I fear it'll be annoying. |

Quote: And after I convinced Metamuse to create the Lucius/Hermione subcategory at Pureblood in Mage,
So wouldn't the story go under "Lucius"? There's a number of other L/H stories there. However, I think that there will be changes made at the archives, and that it's just a matter of time before your wish will come true. |

At Mage it went like this:
Pureblood > Lucius Malfoy > Lucius/Hermione
That way, the fics with that particular ship were separated for the rest of the ships involving Lucius (like there are different subcategories for the Draco ships). There were enough that MetaMuse accepted creating the subcategory. |

Yeah, I think that after all the moving is done, that it wouldn't be much longer before the archives are touched up a bit, and that the L/H, N/S, D/P, etc. are defined at Pureblood. There might be some rule, that there has to be something like five or ten stories before the sub-catagory is created.
That was a fun feature at Mage, watching your story in the queue after it was posted, seeing how many hits it got, and how quickly.
(Sort of made up for the lack of reviews ) |

I've never been able to get on at TPP. My computer crashes there, so I haven't been able to read anything at TPP.
Reviews are a mixed bag. I just posted a story at ff.n and it got just one review, which was weird, as usually I get at least four there. I also have stories at SH which have far more reviews there than ff.n and FA.org combined. And the numbers and qualities of the reviews shift around. *Shrug*. SH reviews are generally better written than the other two sites. |
