Just something that's been on my mind lately.
-- I understand Sirius Black being rather hyper-focussed after 1st escaping Azkaban during Harry's 3rd year. But how about during Harry's 4th? Wouldn't it occur to him then, that he had a fairly safe place to stay (Grimmauld)? Perhaps he was already moved in by then and came to hogsmeade just to be closer to his godson. I probably missed something, in which case, let me know, huh? |

I suspect that the location of 'Grimmauld Place' wasn't really fleshed out until OotP when a home was needed for the Order.
However, Sirius went abroad after PoA and it probably wasn't until he came back and the fuss had died down a bit that Dumbledore was able to put the house under the Fidelius Charm. |
