What did you think of the OotP Trailer?

Squee! It was so awesome I'm going to see Happy Feet again just for the trailer!

It was OK, so I'll save my opinion for when the movie comes out.

It sucked eggs, AND I was stuck watching singing, dancing penguins.

Bellatrix is described as someone who was once beautiful, but now ruined (she is Sirius' cousin, after all!) I think that is why she gets the tattered-corset look...it should be more reminiscent of Grisabella (who sings "Memory" in Cats). If she plays it slutty, I'll be disturbed! She wants to kill Harry, not jump him.....though her intentions towards LV are 'insanely devoted,' so fawning on him might be appropriate.

I am more concerned with Umbridge's character than her looks. She seems too pretty to be toad-like to me, but maybe they are going to try to make her seem "nice" at first. That would make it interesting, I suppose. I'll just have to wait and see.

How old is Rickman, anyway? Snape should only be about 35-36 in this one.... Movie!Snape has always been more charismatic and less hot-headed than canon!Snape. He does not lose his temper as easily, or at least stays "calm" while angry...and he isn't as petty or unfair about Harry. But he's still not "nice!" I don't think they've lost the ambiguity, I think they've just portrayed it differently.

I am looking forward to seeing Malfoy in the Ministry, as well as the duel between Dumbledore and LV. But the Occlumency lessons can only be beat by "Snape's Worst Memory," which better be in. I find I'm not as interested in the kids (well, perhaps Fred and George!)

When I looked up the fifth movie on the Internet Movie Database, I saw that there's someone cast in the role of "Young Severus Snape", so there's a pretty good chance that Snape's worst memory will be in there.

Not entirely sure exactly how old Rickman is, but I think he's somewhere around 60.

And in regards to Bellatrix—I can't really see Helena Bonham-Carter in that role; her face is still too (for lack of a better word) innocent for the role. Furthermore, her voice doesn't have the somewhat harsh, raspy sound to it that I always imagined for Bellatrix. But then, I didn't think that Gary Oldman would make a good Sirius Black when PoA came out, and now I think he's done a great job with that role. Perhaps Bonham-Carter's performance will be another pleasant surprise.

"Snape's Worst Memory" will definitely be in the movie. The Leaky Cauldron has posted info about the actors who will be the teenage Lily, etc. The one playing young Snape has spent time with Mr. Rickman in preparing for the role, and will be wearing stuff to make him look like Rickman/Snape as a teen. He hasn't been in any movies before, as I recall.

Alan Rickman is 60, soon to be 61.

Ditto on Bella. I did like the actress in "Big Fish"; maybe if the director allowed her only one hour of sleep a night for a week, she might act crazy enough for the role...
