False. I actually tend to ignore Valentine's Day because all of the commercialism associated with it has really (to my mind, anyway) gotten badly out of hand. (I'd better stop here before I end up posting an entire essay on the subject.)

The person below me has a lot of photographs that have yet to be put in an album of any kind.

True. A whole suitcase full, boxes of different sizes...sigh.

Years ago, I would go all out on Valentine's Day, to make up for having a very forgotten Christmas (send out V.Day cards instead of Christmas, for example).

O frabous joy! I found "Phantom of the Paradise" at the library, and am sneaking watching it at home. THIS IS MINE! it's a time trip to my college days, and I do not want any current anybody in this house bugging me with "what's going on? He looks like Napolean Dynamite", "Those girls in the bikinis? They look fat!" "HA HA HA!"

Gads, I can hear them and they're all at school or at work.

"Phantom" is based on "Faust", "Phantom of the Opera", "History of Rock and Roll" (by Paul Williams, who co-starred in the movie), and "The Picture of Dorian Grey", and maybe "Frankenstein" (as per the make-up on one character), "Pyscho", and some other stuff. It is soooo funny at times, and the music is great.

(I didn't think I'd ever get to see it again...There's no way for me to play my LP here.)

Oh man, I gotta get to work.

The person below me found something frabous too!

True—and on two counts, at that. The first was my hairbrush; I've actually only ever had one hairbrush that could get through my hair without pulling it extremely painfully, and it went missing a couple of weeks ago. Until yesterday morning, I'd been making do with a comb—very painful for someone with hair like mine, which is quite curly and often seems like it has a mind of its own. And it never looks quite as good when I comb it as it does when I brush it, either.

The second was something I never expected to be able to find in a store in the Sault. I found a folding fan—something I've wanted for years. Not only will it be fairly useful once the weather warms up, but it's proving to be very good for my eye-hand co-ordination as I'm teaching myself how to do various tricks with it. My concentration seems to be improving as well.

The person below me has a very bad sense of timing. I know that I certainly do...

False..true..it depends. I know I'm almost always late, and could do better.

What kinds of tricks would you do with a folding fan? They used to be plentiful in cheap discount stores, but I haven't seen one in a long time. (The discount stores, a.k.a. five-n-dimes have been lost to The Dollar Store and Wal-Mart.)

It's snowing again. My youngest daughter is babysitting. Sort of wish she wasn't, but she'd rather be making money....

The person below me was surprised to see the new forum layout also!

True!
I freaked out for a second when I thought I did something wrong or ended up in the wrong place. *giggles*

Hey. As you can see I've managed to log in here again. Maybe this new thingy (update?) helped, who knows...

Oh, well, what can I say... I didn't read all the posts here since I last was here, sorry. You can point me to something important, tho.
In between all the troubles I had lately with my internet conexion, I've been busy writing fanfic, but if I don't have trouble logging in again, you'll see more of me around. *cross fingers*

The person below me has read my fic Woman on Top (sorry, I'm curious)

I did, Maddy, and you know because I left you a review!

Hope that somebody who has read your story "without" leaving a review is going to write after me, and maybe give you another feed back. Very Happy
And, understanding how much authors are looking for comments, could I invite the other respectable members of this Forum to pay a visit? It's a really humorous story, and I enjoyed it a lot! (By the way, Maddy, you put the wrong title, it's Women, not Woman...)

Now, I would like to propose a little test to the others. I see that, lately, there has been a lot of calm around here, so I imagine that we are all busy busy busy.
Anyway, now that we know that SHE has decided date and title, would you just play with me imagining "what"? I mean, "what" do you think will happen to the various characters? And, above all, "who" is going to go forever?

My ideas are not very original, so I don't put them in here to avoid sarcastic comments... but if somebody would be so kind to let me know what is going on in her mind, I would be happy to listen.
Then, on july 21st, you lucky native will discover the truth... Meanwhile, in Italy, I will be forced to buy/borrow an English copy (whenever available, of course) to know... Or, even worse, read the shocked reactions in the Forums!!!
OK, waiting for your considerations...

The person below me has already "booked the book" (perhaps from Amazon?)

I'm not sure, but I think my husband has ordered it. I know he's supposed to.

I don't have very high hopes for this book. It's been rushed, yet again. I didn't like how HBP was written. I expected much better from Jo. She really disappointed me. I'm going to read it just because I want to finish the series.

It has been very quiet around here, but I think it's more because of the spam issues. As for the new layout, it's pretty, but not very 'user friendly' so far.

The person below me is ready for spring to get here permanently.

False. I'm waiting for Fall, not Spring.

I know you read it memory! Thanks for the review.
And since I know some people (like me) want to wait until a story is finished to read, I'll have to wait for those. Chapter 2 is already posted and Chapter 3 is with the beta... and it's 1 or 2 chapters left after that. Smile I'm enjoying writing it.

I don't have many definite ideas for book 7. I have the fear that Severus may die. And maybe Remus. Then, there's the hope that if any of the trio has to die it will be Ron. And the almost certainty that Harry will survive. It's after all a children's book and killing the hero would be a bit too much to deal with for the kids.
And then there's the demented hope of the shipper/writer in me that wants Remus, Severus, Lucius and Hermione alive so I can keep writing fics.
I'd also want for Portrait!Albus to awake and tell all and sundry that Severus is still loyal to him and the killing was per Albus request and part of a good strategy.
I'm ready to go AU or "HBP compliant only" if necessary, so no problems really.

As for the book, I have until the middle of March to reserve and pay for the book for it to be available for me at Sectus, so I'm still waiting a couple of days, but then I'll book it.

The person below me has a cold (I have one *sneezes*).

Unfortunately true, though it seems to be letting up now.

I'm not quite ready for Spring, really, though I'm looking forward to actually being able to take a walk without having to drive to a park first—there are no sidewalks near my house, so it's more than a little dangerous to take walks in my neighbourhood once the snowbanks really start to pile up.

I haven't ordered my copy of Deathly Hallows yet, but it's definitely on my to-do list. I wonder if it will be possible for me to have it sent to my house, so I don't have to brave the crowd around the bookstore that day...

Maddy, I've read what you've posted so far of "Women on Top" and enjoyed it very much...I think I might have left a review for it somewhere, but I'm not quite sure. If not, I'll correct the oversight. Smile

The new forum layout was a pleasant surprise. It'll take awhile for me to get used to it, but for the most part I do like it. It's absolutely wonderful to not have to wander through a labyrinth of spam to be able to find the real posts, too. Smile

And finally, the "tricks" I do with my folding fan are more or less just me trying to toss it in various ways (think Memoirs of a Geisha) without dropping it. Fortunately, I'm getting better...

The person below me has a very poor sense of time but hates to be late.

True. I'm almost always clocking in three minutes late on the floor. I can get to the building ten minutes early, and I'm STILL clocking in at three minutes!

I'm looking forward to being able to walk again too. There are others who are braver who walk the road, but I don't like the idea of it, as too often when I'm driving, there's always a car coming from the opposite direction just as I'm passing pedestrians who are walking in the road because the bike lane is snow covered. Also, it's been icy on the road, and if my car is slipping, what's to stop other cars from sliding?

I plan to order my book at the Scholastic Book fair at the local middle school. Scholastic will give the school a kick-back, and last time I did it, I also got a hat advertising the book! I'll also buy extra copies at Freddy's like I did with HBP, and everyone in the family was happy!

I had some family stuff come up, and had to shelf some of my reading time. I do like the premise of your story, Maddy, and hope to be able to get to it soon. (It reminds me of "The Grapes of Wrath", where throughout the story, the men fail to cope with the situation, and the women end up surviving and taking charge.)

I sooo enjoy not seeing spam on here!

The person below me still has Valentine Day stuff in the house (I've got the red mylar balloons wandering about...)

True, a bright red loveheart shaped plate which I gave my hubby, it did have three desserts on it for all of 30 seconds maybe, before he scoffed them down. MEN, blah.
Oddly enough in the North East of England, we have had very little snow fall so not too many sniffling noses here. Why oddly, well as a child I recall regular snow throughout winter not much usually just a couple of inches every two to three days, but this winter we have had maybe an inch on the ground which quickly disappeared for less time than it took to fall. And currently the sun is shining like it thinks it is June not March, though the wind is as chilly as ever.
My beloved has already pre-ordered two copies of HP7 at Waterstones, who are as usual doing a midnight opening, my hubby usually takes our two oldest children to it, however he always refuses to dress up for it even though he would make a perfect Weasley male (hmm Charlie or Bill, I can't decide which though I think I prefer Charlie).
The person below me knows just which type of Easter egg they intend to give and which they would love to receive. Personally I have way too many to give(we have 6 children and 12 nieces and nephews, so the adults can forget about getting one unless they don't mind boiled ones LOL) and hope to receive a Green & Blacks' Dark Organic one.

False. There are different kinds of eggs?

The person below me has lots of opinions but very little knowledge to back them up

True, I suppose.

I love to do political rants, but I also know that I know diddly-squat about politics. I am angry about how the Arab nations ignore Darfur, and think it's ironic that they have their noses in a snitch about the movie "300". Of course it's not going to be shown in Iran. 1) It has WOMEN in it, and it's 2) American-made.

*Takes a breath* See what I mean?

Ooh, there's lots of different candy eggs! The chocolate malt with candy shells, the marshmallow center ones, the Cadbury ones, that have "whites" and "yolks" inside their chocolate shells. The hollow chocolate shell ones, the Truffle ones, the jelly-bean ones, the oh, go on.

The person below me is celebrating St. Patrick's Day.

True, I suppose. I'm actually going to be travelling this weekend, too; my pipe band has entered into a partnership of sorts with a band from Bowmanville, and we're helping out with a ceilidh they're putting on for St. Patrick's.

I rarely express an opinion unless I'm sure I can back it up, but it's been known to happen (mostly when I was a teenager, though).

The person below me is constantly surrounded by their pets when they're home.
